Mr. Kain is employed as the Limnologist II for the Lake Roosevelt Fisheries Evaluation Program. He holds a B.A. in Biology from Hanover College and an M.Sc. in Environmental Science with a concentration in Applied Ecology from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs. His research interests include: 1) the role of abiotic structure in shaping community assemblages; 2) effects of macronutrient loading and hydro-operations on lower trophic ecology in the Upper Columbia River; 3) implementation of data science to increase efficiency of the program and publicly disseminate project findings; 4) continued development of a hydrodynamic and water quality model for Lake Roosevelt. He provides technical expertise to the UCR RI/FS and CRSO EIS. In his free time, he enjoys exploring trails around the Northwest and making noise with a telecaster.
